Biography

I am an artist based in Helsinki, Finland, graduating with a Master’s degree in Fine Arts from the Academy of Fine Arts Helsinki in 2025. My works usually take the form of video installations, performances, and texts. Using low-threshold tools, such as a MiniDV camera and iPhone voice memos, allows for spontaneous documentation, making the materiality of everyday life an evident part of my work. Through a hands-on way of working, I approach and problematize nationality, nostalgia, class, and sexuality.

Alongside my individual artistic practice, I collaborate on performances with my colleague Veera Wahlroos. Our latest performance Touch was presented at Helsinki Biennale Preview Week at Kirpilä Art Collection in June 2025. Touch explores intimacy in non-romantic friendships through the sense of touch. A central aspect for the work is maintainance of consent through both language and gestures.

My works have been exhibited in Finland, Sweden, Norway and Serbia, including at Ateneum Art Museum, Helsinki, Finland; Kirpilä Art Collection, Helsinki, Finland; Galleria Rajatila, Tampere, Finland; Asbestos Art Space, Helsinki, Finland; Kuva/Tila, Helsinki, Finland; Vapaan Taiteen Tila, Helsinki, Finland; Konsthall323, Stockholm, Sweden; Hjorten skulpturpark, Stockholm, Sweden; Utomhusgalleriet på Sergels torg, Stockholm, Sweden; Galleri Eker Gård, Beitostølen, Norway; and New Cinema Zvezda, Belgrade, Serbia. My artistic work has been supported by the Konstsamfundet Foundation, the Swedish Cultural Foundation in Finland, the Finnish-Swedish Cultural Foundation, Eugène, Elisabeth och Birgit Nygréns Stiftelse, Greta och Alfred Runebergs Stiftelse, and the University of the Arts Helsinki Foundation.
